View from Behind a Beard
I spent all my time in Seattle and Portland walking around with a Flip Video in my pocket annoying all the very nice people who were just trying to check me into my hotel or sell me a donut. Below are the results (in a fancy playlist – thanks for the suggestion Javier). Part 1 is my trip to Seattle, Part 2 is our drive to Portland and the show there. I hope there will be more parts, but I haven’t edited them together yet.
Also, a longer version of the Giant Donut Incident exists, but I will leave that for Paul and Storm to post and discuss.
Thank You Portland and Seattle
Another great trip to the beautiful Northwest – full houses, enthusiastic crowds, and a lot of that general calm and pleasant feeling I get when I’m there (do you all have industrial pumps filling the air with Ativan mist or something?). Plus on Saturday night in Seattle, Paul and Storm and I were privileged to share the stage with Molly, aka Sweetafton23. I have linked to two videos as proof, but she did a total of four songs – I’m sure the other two will turn up somewhere or other. Thank you Molly for making that show extra fun. And thank you to everyone who came out to see us. This weekend is Minneapolis, Madison and Chicago, or what like to call the Steadily Diminishing Appreciation for the Song “Curl” Tour.
Tom Cruise Crazy (with Molly on uke and singing, the rest of us doing our best to keep up):
My Monkey (with Molly on uke, me on Tenori-On, and all FOUR of us on vocals):
Springtime for JoCo
Hey, leaves and stuff! Nice work, nature! Celebrate spring with a
crazy little thing called “seeing JoCo in concert.” West coast,
midwest, and even dear old New York City are on this list. Spread the

And that’s the news so far – Lots of other stuff in the works though,
including a return trip to the UK sometime in October, and the release
of the concert DVD sometime in the Fall. More details and updated
information can be found on my shows page
(http://jonathancoulton.com/shows). As always, I have probably made
mistakes, so please check my work before you buy tickets.
And you know what? Take the rest of the day off, it’s really nice
outside.
Let the Wiki Win
If you’ve been paying attention in the forums this will not be news to you, but the rest of you might like to know: there is now a wiki – A VERY SPECIAL WIKI ALL ABOUT ME. Right now it’s just a tiny baby taking its first tentative steps into the world, so be gentle. The hope is that eventually this will become a home for all these bits of information that currently live all over the place – lyrics, tabs, and other information about songs, plus gigs, set lists, user content, and stuff I haven’t even thought of, such as the hilariously optimistic “This Day in JoCo.”
Thanks to Agent Lex, Bry, and MitchO (plus all the other contributors who also rock) for all their hard work getting this thing up and running. More hard work remains, for there are plenty of informations to be wikified.
Why not take a look?
