CDBaby Rules
Just got a note from CDBaby, the site that sells my CD online. They’ve just made a deal with a major music distributor so that participating record stores can order any CD Baby artist to stock in their stores. If for some reason you don’t trust the internet, or if you have never heard of the internet, or if you are locked inside a record store with no access to the internet, now you can ask your local record store to order a Coulton CD for you. Bricks and mortar!
More Machinima
Mike sends a link to this video he and some friends did for “Re: Your Brains” in the World of Warcraft universe. Lots of undead types jumping around making trouble – freakin zombies…
Internet to Coulton: Stop Talking
Did an interview with Chris Miller for his Unquiet Desperation podcast. Listen here – thanks Chris!
PopSci Podcast
Now it is time for me to reveal my secret: in my spare time (say what?) I’ve been working on a new podcast for Popular Science magazine. As you know, I am their contributing troubadour, and we all thought it was about time I started actually contributing. Each week I’ll be doing an interview with somebody interesting, usually related in some way to a story in the current issue of the magazine. The first one is with Gordon Bell, a Microsoft researcher who for many years has been working on a project called MyLifeBits in which he digitally captures and archives various aspects of his daily life – like some kind of coo-coo cybernetic memory extension. Give it a listen (and please subscribe so that I look good).
Yes: there is a theme song.
