1010 WINS and so do I

Just heard a little interview with me in the 1010 WINS news loop this morning. Even though they called me Jonathan Coulter, I feel this is an enormous victory.

Back from Aspen

Well, I sure did mean to blog about it while it was happening, but now it’s over. Truth is, I was very busy with the comedy. In case you don’t follow my every move, I just got back from the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen (and boy are my arms tired). It was a good time, though my luggage didn’t make it to Aspen until about 24 hours after I did, which was annoying because my guitar, coat and toothbrush were in it. But it all turned out OK, and laughs were had, and history was made.

There were a lot of great folks there, but the real standout for me was Tim Minchin, who did this great, strange, cabaret act with a piano and no shoes on. I’m a sucker for funny musicians who can actually play, and this guy can really tear it up. On top of all that he’s a very friendly and accessible guy. We talked shop, you know, comedy business.

Anyway, now I’m back and catching up. So what’s been happening on the internet?

Another Successful Corruption

Peter sends me this video of Willa singing Re: Your Brains. I ask you, could it be any cuter?

Popsci Podcast – Nearly the Best

The waiting is over. The Magazine Publishers of America announced the winners of this year’s digital awards (I know – who did what to the what now?) and guess which Contributing Troubadour took second place in the Best Magazine Podcast category? I don’t know what’s up with this National Geographic “walking around” podcast that took first place, but I’m totally going to trip that guy with my walking stick if I see him.

This week I did an interview with one of Will Wright’s game designers, the guy who built the creature editors. You know, if you want to hear how awesome second place can sound…
