Brooklyn Tickets

Since in theory I am getting a lot of New York City eyeballs here, I will reiterate this thing: I’m playing at Union Hall in Park Slope Brooklyn on Tuesday May 22, along with Jenny Owen Youngs and Wynn Walent (not all at once you understand). Tickets are on sale right here. I will play third.

Cat Shot

That Psychology Today interview is now online if you’d like to read it, and a commenter in my original post about this directs us here for the photo of me with my cat. Now you know everything.

That’s a lot of Emails

Getting a nice spike from the NY Times Magazine piece. Even though there’s no link to me in the article itself, it’s been Slashdotted, was on the front page of Digg for a while, and is now the #2 most emailed story on the NY Times website, so people are still finding their way here. In the last couple of days, Google Analytics says 89% of the visitors were new, which is great news.

The main thing people seem to take away from the article is that I get a lot of emails. While that is certainly true, it doesn’t mean that I want you to stop emailing me. You can also stop apologizing for it – we’re still friends, even though you sent me an email.

Sweet, Delicious, Positive Press

As I have been saying for many days, the NY Times Magazine has an article today about how the internet has changed the relationship between artists and fans, and there’s a big ol’ picture of me plus quite a bit of JoCo discussion. As one commenter has noted, my cat is not in the article or the photo, but he appears quite a bit in the video thingie. He’s going to get a ton of myspace friend requests today I’m sure.

Thanks to Clive and Lee for this multi-media one-two punch to the midsection of popular culture. Body blow! Body blow! Body blow!
